If not then see below what have I experienced:

I have had profound spiritual experiences.. where I experienced my immortality as a spiritual being, soul.. and had also an out of body experience where I lost consciousness of the physical and the physical senses to find myself in a blissful immaterial world of white light where I saw and experienced God’s love and bliss..
with my third eye…

That form of meditation is called Raja Yoga meditation.. and is only taught through this spiritual university.. www.bkwsu.org
The meditation courses are given (free of charge) and I invite all to search for centers nearest to them and have self-experience.
It has 9000 meditation centers worldwide and is a Non-governmental non-profit organisation (Spiritual University) affiliated with the United Nation for world peace..

Open Question: We are constantly evolving as each day passes?

I believe that the key to our evolution is an expansion of consciousness on a singular and collective level. Through time and experience – our perception changes, our wisdom increases and thus our consciousness heightens.

Each day brings new realms of enlightenment within individuals and within society, some progressing faster than others. There are also many paths to the same initiative but yet again, some paths allow for more progression in shorter time (higher consciousness through meditation, exercise, healthy diet & emanation of positive vibrations ie. positive thoughts/emotions)

should striving for human development not be a priority? why not make the best of ourselves before we attempt making the best of the world? I think on a philosophical, psychological and somewhat spiritual level, we understand the concept. As they say, you cannot love another until you love yourself, you cannot protect someone until you are able to protect yourself.
Same goes with many aspects including our ways of living, let us evolve!

I am a hindu and I do meditation every single day; however, at the same time I have fun with friends. I even do somethings like hookah, weed, and alcohol just stupid stuff i guess. I am a teen right now (16) and very confused. I feel like I have a balanced life between fun and spirituality but my parents don’t think so. I even went into deep meditation states where as my parents didn’t. I was just looking for an answer that could help me.

Open Question: Atheists, journalist Elizabeth Gilbert was able to "see" god.?

Jun 19, 2013   //   by SueBennett   //   Blog  //  No Comments

American journalist Elizabeth Gilbert in her true story “EAT PRAY LOVE” describes her experience of god she had while deep in meditation:

“ As a reader and seeker, I always get frustrated at the description in spiritual memoirs of experiencing god. From the Buddha to Saint Teresa to the Sufi mystics to my own Guru—so many great souls over the centuries have tried to express what it feels like to become one with the divine, but I’m never quite satisfied by these descriptions.

After rigorous practice of meditation I have finally found out. What I experienced is indescribable but I’ll try to explain anyway:

Simply put, I suddenly got pulled through into what I knew was the Absolute, I could understand the workings of the universe completely. It was as if I left my body, I left the room, I left the planet, I stepped through time and I entered the void. I was inside the void, but I also was the void and I was looking at the void, all at the same time. The void was a place of limitless peace and wisdom. The void was conscious and intelligent.

The void was God, I was inside God, I was part of God. In addition to being God, I experienced being both a tiny piece of the universe and exactly the same size as the universe.

It wasn’t hallucinogenic, what I was feeling. It was the most basic of events. It was heaven – it was the deepest love I’d ever experienced, beyond anything I could have previously imagined, but it wasn’t euphoric. There wasn’t enough ego or passion left in me to create euphoria and excitement. It was just obvious. Like when you’ve been looking at an optical illusion for a long time, straining your eyes to decode the trick, and suddenly your cognizance shifts and there—now you can clearly see it!—the two vases are actually two faces. And once you’ve seen through the optical illusion, you can never not see it again.”

God is the Universal Consciousness, which cannot be measured by our scientific equipment as yet. But that doesn’t mean god doesn’t exist.

Open Question: I overreact to past mistakes?

Jun 19, 2013   //   by SueBennett   //   Blog  //  No Comments

I have a tendency to be doing normal activities when all of the sudden I remember a past mistake and I become very anxious. Sometimes it’s paralyzing, and these are not huge mistakes. They’re often verbal slips, things I did as a little child, assignments I didn’t turn in, etc. It becomes a huge part of my day at times, and I’m beginning to worry about how this will hinder me in the future.
For starters- am I crazy? Do I need to see a mental health specialist?
And secondly- any advice? I tried meditation/relaxing, but it doesn’t work. At times it worsens the condition

Open Question: How to become religiously Buddhist?

Jun 19, 2013   //   by SueBennett   //   Blog  //  No Comments

I’ve studied, understood, and accepted the four noble truths along with the eightfold path and the five precepts. I meditate almost every day, sometimes even twice a day. Yet I still feel as though I’m not expressing my devotion to Buddha and his beliefs enough. What other practices and rituals are there for Buddhism other than devotion and meditation?

I apologize for reposting this question, but I wanted to clear up a few things and have no idea how to add on to the other question.

Buddhism is my philosophy, not my religion. The gods I believe in have nothing to do with my practice of Buddhism. By “religiously”, I mean ceremoniously and faithfully.

Thanks in advance!
